PATCHS is an online consultation service that allows you to quickly and easily access GP services online. All you have to do is answer a few simple questions and PATCHS will get you the help you need quickly.
The Patchs service allows you fill out a form and attach photographs or get advice from your GP and make administrative requests such as asking for a sick note or test results. This should not be used for urgent requests of a clinical nature. We will aim to respond to your query by the end of the following working day. Please note clinical queries submitted from 4pm will not be responded to until the following working day.
How does the service work?
- Complete a simple form about your problem or request
- Your GPs decide on the best treatment for you
- The practice responds with advice or a prescription
- You can request sick notes and admin requests
- You will get a response by the next working day

What you can do with the NHS App
You need to prove who you are to get full access to the NHS App.
With full access you can:
- Order repeat prescriptions and nominate a pharmacy where you would like to collect them.
- Book and manage appointments.
- View your GP health record to see information like your allergies and medicines.
- If your GP has given you access to your detailed medical record, you can also see information such as test results.
- Book and manage coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations.
- Register your organ donation decision.
- Choose how the NHS uses your data.
- View your NHS number.
- Use NHS 111 online to answer questions and get instant advice or medical help near you.
Before proving who you are
You can still use the NHS App to:
- Search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments.
- Find NHS services near you.
Other services
Depending on your GP surgery or hospital, you may also be able to:
- Message your GP surgery or a health professional online.
- Contact your GP surgery using an online form and receive a reply.
- Access health services on behalf of someone you care for.
- View and manage your hospital and other healthcare appointments.
- View useful links your doctor or health professional has shared with you.
- View and manage care plans.
SystmOnline
Access Online Services
SystmOnline allows you to securely access a range of GP services online, at a time that is convenient for you.
Using SystmOnline, you can:
- Order repeat prescriptions.
- View your current medication.
- Book and cancel appointments (where available).
- View parts of your medical record (if enabled by the Practice).
- Update your contact details.

Access Airmid
Airmid is connected to SystmOnline and uses the same GP clinical system, meaning your information and online services are linked whichever service you use.
You can use either Airmid or SystmOnline to access your GP online services.
For those wanting to access SystmOnline content via their smartphone, we recommend downloading Airmid.
If you have used SystmOnline previously, you can use the same login details to access Airmid. Alternatively, you can log on using NHS Login.
