COVID-19 Vaccinations
We are continuing to vaccinate our patients at Kirkburton Health Centre and our aim is, depending on vaccine delivery, to have all patients aged 70 and up, together with any of our patients who are shielding vaccinated by 15 February.
Please be assured that if you are in the above cohort we will contact you as soon as we have vaccine available. Vaccine is arriving at very short notice. We are aware that some of you have received letters from NHSE to attend the mass vaccination sites. Please do not contact us about this letter as it has not been sent by us. You may choose whether to have your vaccine at a mass vaccination site or the Practice - the choice is yours.
We will be contacting our housebound patients in the coming weeks to arrange for them to be given the vaccine if they are eligible.
We know you are eager to get protected but we are asking patients to please not contact us to get an appointment, we will contact you when we have vaccine available
Contacting the Surgery
For the forseable future we are not accepting any online bookings for appointments. All requests for medical advice, treatment, sick notes, GP letters and results should be made, where possibly by using an E-Consultation form. We will respond to you by the end of the next working day.
For those of you requiring advice regarding Covd-19 we would ask that in the first instance you look at the following website which contains a lot of useful information https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19
Denby Dale Surgery
Due to the current crisis our Denby Dale surgery will now not be open on a daily basis. As per national guidance we have implemented a total telephone triage system. However if a Clinician feels that you need to be seen face to face following the telephone call and you can only get to Denby Dale we will make arrangements for you to be seen there. Please note the post box will be checked once per day for prescription requests/letters.
Online Access
We are asking that all our patients make prescription requests online. If you do not have a computer/smart phone you can give proxy access to a friend or relative who can order on your behalf. Prescriptions will be sent electronically to the Pharmacy of your choice.
Prescriptions
Please only order your regular medication and do not stockpile. This will create unnecessary shortages.
